(Medford, OR) The Rogue Gallery & Art Center – Southern Oregon’s premier non-profit community art center—announces its annual Members’ Exhibition on display in the Main Gallery. This exhibit, spotlighting the artistic talent of Rogue Gallery & Art Center members, is entitled “Animal, Vegetable, Mineral” and runs from November 16 through December 22, 2012. The public is invited to a free Opening Reception on Friday, November 16 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.
The annual Member’s exhibition features work by Rogue Gallery members. The Rogue Gallery has had a long history of supporting local and regional artists. This exhibit gives each member an opportunity to exhibit one piece of their work on the central theme of “Animal, Vegetable, Mineral”. With a very diverse group of members, a variety of artwork will be on display including watercolors, acrylic, and oil paintings as well as sculptures and collages.
“The Rogue Gallery has so many talented artists as members,” said Interim Director Kim Hearon. “If you’ve ever played 20 Questions, you know the theme Animal, Vegetable, Mineral, covers just about everything. Works by over 50 artists will be shown, and it will be exciting to see how each artist interprets the theme.”
The Rogue Gallery & Art Center is the Rogue Valley’s premier non-profit community art center, founded in 1960 to promote and support the arts and artists in the Rogue Valley. The Gallery offers local artists the opportunity to display their artwork. Aspiring artists, both children and adults, take classes from local artists and are exposed to a wide variety of artistic mediums. The Rogue Gallery is located in Medford at 40 South Bartlett Street. The hours of operation are Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
