Umpqua Valley Arts Association

Umpqua Valley Arts Association is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to art education, art appreciation, and service to artists, art organizations, and the community. We have played a primary role in the cultural development of Douglas County. In 1979, the Arts Association and the City of Roseburg entered into a partnership arrangement to use the buildings in the Fir Grove Section of Stewart Park as a cultural center.

2016 ArtWorks Northwest Artists Announced

ROSEBURG, OR – The Umpqua Valley Arts Association is pleased to present the artist list for the 2016 ArtWorks Northwest Exhibit; a group exhibition of works selected by juror Stephen Hayes. ArtWorks Northwest will run from May 6, 2016 – July 8, 2016 with an opening reception on Friday, May 6th from 5 pm – 7 pm.

Call to Artists: 2015 Umpqua Plein Air

Painters of all levels are welcome to participate. The event culminates in the Umpqua Plein Air Exhibit opening, which is on Saturday from 1 – 3pm and is juried by award-winning plein air painter Mike Hernandez. Each participant in the Umpqua Plein Air Paintout will have at least one piece hanging in the show, which fills the entire Arts Center building. The exhibit will hang from September 19 through October 23, 2015. Cash prizes will be granted at the opening of the show, as well as many awards of distinction that will be given by the juror.
