Connect with Silvia
Being influenced by such post-impressionists and modernist landscape painters as Tom Thomson and Wayne Theibaud, her work is bold, lively and visually stimulating. Silvia’s love of the natural world takes her into the realms of landscape, portraiture, animals and botanicals, expressing the sacred connection in all of life.
Siliva Trujillo’s work has been shown in The Crocker Art Museum, California State Capitol/ Office of the Governor, and The Haggin Art Museum. Her paintings have appeared in a variety of regional newspapers and magazines and her art is published for the commercial market in the form of prints and cards by Art Connex Publishing. Silvia’s work is part of corporate and private collections throughout North America, South America, and Europe.

Painting to Music

Eye-Opening Works for the Oregon Retina Center

As just about everyone knows, it’s not easy making a living as an artist. It’s definitely a job that must be done for the love of it, and with a certain amount of trust in the universe to connect each painting with its buyer. Sometimes, this connection can take a...

Head over Heels with Hills
There’s something playful about the rolling hills of Southern Oregon and Northern California. Like someone came along and scrunched up the landscape. It makes me want to lie in the grass and roll all the way down. But rocks and burrs – no thanks! I let my brush play...

For the Love of the Rogue
Most people think of rivers as recreational sites but they’re so much more than that! As I roam the Rogue Valley, brush and palette knife in hand, I see all the ways that water brings life to this region. The images here are some of my recent favorites from these...

Daring Views of Grizzly Peak
I’ve been fortunate enough to occupy a studio that looks out over Grizzly Peak in Ashland. These paintings are a series I did on different days in the month of May. Looking at the very different scenes that can be composed from one vantage point, I’m reminded that...
