Linda Abblett, a student of art since childhood, finds that her love for nature and art come together in the medium of watercolor. She studied under artists Lavonne Tarbox Crone and Judy Morris. They all inspired and nurtured her, but she feels her abilities are gifts of the Creator, whose beautiful masterpieces can never be rivaled. She has been a member of the Watercolor Society of Oregon since 2004.

Last week I took the group on their first field trip, a plein air outing to the Antelope Creek covered bridge in Eagle Point, to practice the skills they’ve been learning in the studio. The Eagle Point covered bridge proved to be a great subject. Here are some pictures of my students working on their plein air paintings and the wonderful results of their efforts:
