Artist Stefan Baumann, host of PBS painting program “The Grand View”, will instruct this 2-day workshop Sat July 17 & Sun July 18 from 9-3pm,with plein-air mornings in the field, and studio afternoons in the classroom, teaching participants to successfully capture the essence of landscape and still life oil paints. Instruction will cover value, color, composition, tools, canvas, mediums, brushes, paints, and clean-up, as well as discussing visualization and concept. Participants will receive instruction in the skills ,techniques and mechanics of a great painting. This workshop will be a start-to-finish in-depth discussion and hands-on exploration of Alla Prima Painting– how it is done, creating a sense of place and how to capture the feeling of a location.

COST: $180 members $210 non-members
