THE UCROSS FOUNDATION RESIDENCY PROGRAM, in partnership with The Ford Family Foundation, is currently accepting applications from mid-career Oregon visual artists for Ucross 2017 Residencies of 4 weeks in 2017. There is no charge for room, board, or studio space. Artists awarded Ucross 2017 Residencies through The Ford Family Foundation partnership will also receive up to $750 to offset travel and other expenses.

Located on a 20,000 acre working cattle ranch in the foothills of Wyoming’s Bighorn Mountains, Ucross Foundation pro-vides individual work space, living accommodations, uninterrupted time and the inspiring experience of the vast High Plains landscape.

The quality of an applicant’s work is given primary consideration in the review process. At any one time there are typically 10 individuals of varying disciplines in residence. Facilities for visual artists include four visual arts studios, approximately 400 square feet in size, and one print studio with an Elephant etching press.

Artists may apply either for the 2017 SPRING SESSION (late February – end of April) or for the 2017 FALL SESSION (September-December). The application fee is $40. For application guidelines, visit our website For additional information, contact us at 307-737-2291 or email rsa[email protected]
