Woman Made Gallery Call for Art

Group exhibitions at Woman Made Gallery are open to all artists unless otherwise noted. The application fee for WMG’s juried exhibitions is $30 for up to three images of work with addition of one detail view per work, if needed. A limited number of artists who experience financial hardship may be exempt from paying the entry fee; please send us an email to request a fee waiver to: [email protected]. We appreciate artwork that is recent, but there is no restriction in the creation date. Applicants should submit an artist’s statement of max. 250 words, explaining how their work relates to the exhibition’s themes. Accepted artworks must not exceed 72″ horizontally and must not have been previously shown at WMG.

Hillary Clinton Supports Arts Education at NH Town Hall

On July 28th, Hillary Clinton expressed her support for arts education at a town hall meeting in Nashua, New Hampshire. The presidential candidate responded to a question about education with an answer that featured great enthusiasm for the arts. She remarked how valuable it was that she had an opportunity to sing in a chorus and participate in drama and visual arts classes in school. “But the point is when you remove the arts you really hurt kids who learn that way!”
