Cammy Davis paints bold large abstract acrylic paintings. Nadine Gay is a multi-media artist who creates whimsical and contemplative ceramic figurative sculptures. The exhibit is a juxtaposition of large, textured, color enriched canvases with sculpture that is figurative, spiritual, and at times delicate. About the author:  Art du Jour Gallery features Ginny Matheson, Judy Benson LeNier, Cheryl Magellen in Medford this month. Featured Artist Ginny Matheson Mont Blanc by Ginny Matheson. -Submitted by the artist Ginny Matheson presents’’a body of work themed “Mixed Media Landscapes”. Ginny lives and works in Southern Oregon but her earliest art training was in Michigan where she worked primarily in stone and wood carving. After moving to Indiana, Ginny began to focus on two-dimensional media and took more training in drawing, painting, and collage. By 2004 she had begun to exhibit her work at art festivals across the Midwest. Upon arrival in Oregon soon thereafter she began exhibiting at art festivals, galleries, and restaurants across Oregon. Her work often focuses on the breathtaking scenery of the Pacific Northwest and also includes still life, abstracts and figurative pieces. About the author:  Peter Coons Sunset Drama February brings new exhibits from member artists at Art du Jour Gallery, 213 E. Main in Medford. During the month of February Peter Coons work will be the featured in the Salon and Jan Hartmann will be the featured artist on the feature wall. Peter Coons grew up in a family of artists and was influenced at an early age by the arts. As a youth, his father, a fashion designer, took him to Europe to experience old world culture. For several years, he lived and attended school in Florence, Italy. His exposure to the artists of the High Renaissance made an indelible impression. As a university student he took ceramics and art courses and graduated with a degree in history.
