What is the Question: Lewis Anderson & Darcie Sternenberg September 14–November 2, 2018

Southern Oregon photography artists Lewis Anderson and Darcie Sternenberg both create dreamlike landscape images. Anderson’s Asian inspired pieces are large multi-paneled images while Sternenberg’s smaller, intimate pieces are in black and white. In this exhibit, each image is titled with a question, which invites the viewer to establish a stronger connection to the art.
Lewis Anderson’s images are layered photographic images on elongated canvases. His use of layered images creates mystical and deeply spiritual landscapes, which are reminiscent of ancient Chinese landscapes. The artwork reflects his own spiritual journey. Having survived a

Tomorrow evening’s double header promises to be a delight for Southern Oregon art lovers! First comes the Fourth Friday Art Amble from 5-7 pm in charming downtown Jacksonville, with new artists and venues participating this month. Then the Annual Benefit Art Show and Auction at Veranda Park, with art from the artists of the Studio at Living Opportunities and the kids of the Children’s Advocacy Center of Jackson County. Take a stroll, taste some wine, sample some appetizers and meet distinguished and emerging area talent and get an eyeful of art…then take some home with you too!

The Southern Oregon Historical Society announces the opening of “Legacy,” our first annual benefit art show! Over 100 pieces of art by more than 40 regional artists, now open for viewing at the History Center, 106 N. Central Avenue in Medford, from 12-4pm each Tuesday – Friday through December. Festive Artist Reception with awards and silent auction on Dec 17 from 5 – 8 pm.
