The infoparrot Scholarship of Academic Excellence
Infoparrot is glad to announce that it has launched its scholarship program for 2015. The winners of the scholarship will receive $1,250 for their educational expenses for the academic year. As Infoparrot believes in sharing resources, it has a strong focus on giving back to the community.
Application Process
If you would like to apply for the Infoparrot 2015 scholarship, please complete the following steps –
1. Write an essay and send it to scholarships at infoparrot.com
2. Complete the application form below
3. Submit your application by 11:59PM EST, December 31, 2015.

Professional or amateur, young or old – there’s a class for everyone who wants to explore art through our diverse art education programs. Our classes and workshops feature traditional and new art techniques taught by professional artist/educators.
In addition to hosting classes with well-known local artists, we offer workshops with nationally-recognized educators from the Northwest, and beyond.
Our 1100 square foot studio is located in the heart of downtown Medford. We occasionally offer satellite classes at local artists’ studios allowing us to offer more specialized mediums in an intimate setting. We also host “local travel” workshops for some location inspiration.

This list of calls has been edited to include only opportunities open to artists residing in Oregon (with one for our neighbors in Northern California and S. Oregon artists who may also qualify), and includes a wide range of artistic disciplines and other criteria. Women, Photographers, fine art crafters/ artisans, fine metalworkers, traditional and polymer clay artists, colored pencil artists, jewelry makers, serious nude painters, installation artists and more will find state and national opportunities here, some with short deadlines, others extending into 2012 with more time to prepare. Sign Up now for Abstract Painting in Acrylics with Janet Bocast!
Janet Bocast has been creating artwork for over 30 years and brings her own soft and subtle technique to the canvas, sharing her love of color and shape with workshop participants- from beginner to advanced. Using acrylic paints, workshop participants will learn to use shapes, design, and textures to create beautiful and ethereal abstract paintings. Instruction will focus on composition and balance- two very important elements in creating harmonious abstract designs.
All skill levels of painters will enjoy this workshop as they loosen up and develop their own painting style while honing skills for creating non-objective compositions.
This workshop will be held for two weekends: Octeober 29 & 30 and Novemebr 5 & 6 from 11 am – 4 pm at the Rogue Gallery & Art Center.
