Play with light as you expose, develop, and print Solarplate etching plates. These plates are exposed to light, developed in water and then printed in the traditional intaglio process, using an etching press. This amazing technology can produce images resembling photogravure, lithography and traditional etchings, and best-of-all, it is non-toxic and easy! Bring a work of art, photograph and/or a collage you would like to use as inspiration.

Walt Padgett is a professional artist working in printmaking, watercolor painting, and sculpture and has taught for over 40 years at college and university levels. Retired from full-time teaching he now offers private workshops and select classes.
