This year’s collection includes paintings, pottery, jewelry, fabrics, cards and more from over 20 artists. A first Friday Art Night reception with refreshments and live music is scheduled Dec. 5, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The Art Department’s Study Hall Gallery located in the back of the building will be open during the reception and will include a student ceramics sale. GRANTS PASS — Two new exhibits go on display in October, November, and December at the Rogue Community College Firehouse Gallery and Wiseman Gallery. “Presence and Past,” an exhibit by Braeden Cox, will be on display October 28 to November 21 at the Firehouse Gallery, located in RCC Historic City Hall at the corner of Fourth and H streets. Hours are 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. Cox, a Portland artist, presents a series of charcoal and ink drawings that use abstract gestural marks to suggest geological, botanical and structural forms. Mixed media works by RCC art instructor Pat Enos will also be on display in the Firehouse Gallery Community Exhibits Room. A First Friday reception is scheduled 5:30to 8:30 p.m. on November 7. January 15, 2014 GRANTS PASS — Rogue Community College will host a Clayfolk workshop featuring acclaimed Japanese ceramics artist Inayoshi Osamu. The two-day tutorial and participation workshop is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 8 and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 9 at the RCC ceramics studio, located in Historic City Hall, corner of Fourth and H streets. Registration is $65 for Clayfolk members, $70 for non-members. The Rogue Community College FireHouse Gallery will host its annual holiday art gift sale from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Nov. 27 through Dec. 12. A First Friday Art Night reception is scheduled 5–8 p.m. Dec. 6. The gallery is located at the corner of Fourth and H streets in Historic City Hall, Grants Pass. The RCC Art Department’s Study Hall Gallery, located in the back of the building, will be open during the reception and will include a student ceramics sale. This year’s collection includes paintings, pottery, jewelry, woodturnings, scarves and much more. All items are priced from $1 to $100.
