ONE Thing We Agree On We’re partnering with ONE.org for a contest called ONE Thing We Agree On, and we’re looking for video and print submissions that bring opposites together to stamp out extreme poverty.So get creative. Be edgy, funny, ridiculous — but whatever you do, make it kick-ass. And if you’re chosen as one of the 12 finalists, you’ll get:

• A piece of the $20,000 prize–pie • Tons of free iStock credits (35,000 total to be split between winners) • The chance to see your work appear in the ONE’s next big awareness campaign • Pride in knowing you’re making a difference in the world

The first 500 registrants to submit a brief before Jan. 23, 2013 will get up to 250 free iStock credits to put towards photos, illustrations, video or music for their submissions. Contest ends Feb. 26, 2013. Learn more

EMPTY BOWLS ANNUAL FUNDRAISER, MONDAY OCTOBER 10

Empty Bowls fundraiser

The fifth annual Empty Bowls event in Grants Pass, Oregon will be held at Parkway Christian Center located at 229 NE Beacon Drive in Grants Pass on Monday, October 10th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Guests choose a handcrafted bowl and are then served a simple meal of soup and bread. Guests keep the bowl as a reminder that there are always empty bowls in our own community, as well as in the world.
