Main Street in Medford eagerly anticipates a return of Charity Hubbard’s student art exhibit for our Third Friday reception on June 21st, 5-8 pm. Despite an earlier announcement that our musical entertainment would be held back for this months’ event, due to popular demand we have scheduled classical guitarist Rod Petrone to perform for the evening. She feels that the regular exercise of painting from life enables her to better capture life, light and a truer sense of atmosphere, even when painting from life is not possible. About the author:  Art du Jour student art show entry… Art du Jour Gallery, 213 E. Main Street in Medford eagerly anticipates a return of Charity Hubbard’s student art exhibit in June, which became a major downtown event for our small gallery last year. Due to the popular nature of this exhibit we will hold back from providing musical entertainment for our June Third Friday celebration, primarily for space and noise considerations. The “People’s Choice” photography contest has gone off as planned and a big thanks to all who stopped by our gallery during Art in Bloom to vote on their favorite artwork. The exhibit remains on display and the results will be announced at the end of May and posted on Facebook (www.facebook.com/ArtduJourGallery).
