About Lori Garfield

Leap Frog, 12″ x 9″ Original Oil Painting by artist Lori Garfield, Medford Oregon

Lori Garfield is an emerging realist oil painter largely focused on animals. Painting exclusively in oils, her portrayals of both wild and domestic animals reveals a deep empathy for all life and an innate understanding of their anatomy and personality. Garfield sees and feels the world around her more acutely than many, bringing an awareness of the oneness of the heartbeats on our planet. “I limit my focus to North American animals and plants. Perhaps when I create a familiar critter you’ll be reminded of actions that may impact them.” Garfield donates a portion of

Eugenia Talbott Shows African Themed Original Oil Paintings at Berryman Gallery

Cheetahs at Sunset, original oil painting by Eugenia Talbott

Eugenia Talbott of Talbott Studios has had five paintings accepted into a show of African themed art at the Berryman Gallery, upstairs from the Craterian Theater, in conjunction with their current presentation of the teen musical “Tarzan.” The play has been a huge hit with sold out crowds, which is great for the young actors in our area. A member of the Rogue Gallery and Art Center, Talbott’s collection of 5 superb original oils depicting African subjects are on exhibit now through the end of September. The paintings are titled “Boss” (a magnificent oil face-to-face portrait of a male lion, complete with flowing mane),” Cheetah Family at Sunset,” “Zebra II,” “Priddy,” “Elisa,” & “Samburu Girls.” The latter three are portraits of young Africans whom Genie met personally on her travels there. All originals are also available as limited edition prints.
