Celebrate Ashland’s Visual Arts during the AGA First Friday Art Walk, October 6th from 5 to 8 pm!
Stroll the galleries and take in the visual delights in downtown Ashland and the Historic Railroad District. Enjoy this free year-round community event, filled with a diverse array of artwork, live music, artist demonstrations, refreshments and lively conversation!
Hop on the First Friday Trolley! The trolley will run from 5:00 to 10:00 PM and travel around downtown to the Plaza, Historic Railroad District and out to the Schneider Museum and CVA Galleries.

The Art Presence Art Center in Jacksonville invites you to participate in our 2nd Annual Creative Challenge, (Day of the Dead): A fiesta of visual arts, music and food.
The Art Presence Art Center is a non-profit organization established 4 years ago now under the umbrella of the Arts Council of Southern Oregon. It is located at 206 5th Street in Jacksonville in the former Children’s Museum.
THE CHALLENGE is to create art pieces or an altar pertaining to the Mexican celebration of Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) in your chosen medium and style in your own interpretation of that holiday. The artwork may be comprised of paintings, mixed media, collage, papier-mâché, assemblage, photography, shrines (wall or to sit on pedestals) or altars. We encourage 3 dimensional artwork as well.

And we want more – so there will be more. Kelli and I have discussed a possible workshop in February featuring more advanced features of Social Media and digging into blogging. Umpqua River Autumn
The reflections in the water are what attracted me here. Standing on a footbridge looking upriver gave me the vantage point. I had to work quickly as the reflections were changing rapidly.
