Rogue Gallery & Art Center exhibit: Annual Members’ Exhibition “Passages, Travels, and Transformations” Nov. 20 – December 18, Reception: Friday, Nov 20, 5-8:00pm Cara del Callejon, Kate Marrocco In the 2015 Annual Members’ Exhibition, over sixty artists describe their personal travels, transitions, and travails using a variety of media and styles. The annual Members’ exhibition features work by Rogue Gallery and Art Center members and is always one of the most popular of the year. The Rogue Gallery has had a long history of supporting local and regional artists. This exhibit gives each Rogue Gallery member an opportunity to exhibit one piece of their work on the central theme of “Passages, Travels, and Transformations”. Over 60 artists are participating in this non-juried exhibit. Artists’ submitted artwork that reflects their personal experience or interpretation of the theme. About the author: Wendy was president and designer of Wendy Gell Jewelry, Inc., in the 70s and 80s, an international fashion and costume jewelry business based in New York City and Key West. After a long absence, her encrusted and whimsical designs are again turning up and turning heads on Wendy’s website wendygell.com and galleries across the country, on the cable airways of QVC television, and coming in May at the Crown Jewels in Las Vegas at the Monte Carlo and Mandalay Resorts Casino. Her visionary jeweled panels and canvases are re-creating an ancient Byzantine art form. Wendy Gell’s art exhibit The Gravity Free Zone at Pangea in Ashland, Oregon started on November 3rd and continues through the end of the month. Sneak peek!
