Melody Blore leads a quirky and colorful not-so-still life. She and her husband Darrell retired to Jacksonville, Oregon from Southern California in 2010. On a whim, she opened A French Bouteaque four months later. What began as a Parisian-style tearoom soon evolved into a source for those with “Tea Party Spirit.” It claimed to be “imagined and created by a Fancy Nancy / funky Martha Stewart kinda gal…A creative cottage full of imagination and magical experiences.”
When she closed, customers asked, “what will you do now?” She said she would paint. Her whimsical works reflect all her bouteaque embodied—a spirit of celebration. Melody paints in acrylic with a happy color
