*Demo and Lecture will be done in charcoal & oil paint

Where: Central Art Classroom

Time: 10:00 AM to 1:00

Fee: $20 per person

Have you ever wondered how artists measure out the human form and what the easiest way is to draw it correctly? Is the structure of hands and feet challenging you as well? This workshop will look in depth at the measurements of the body, limbs, head, hands, and feet.

 

Bobbi will work in Charcoal and Oil (for color) while she adds to your knowledge base on structure, negative space, and an introduction into her color theories. Rogue River artist Vince Carl and Bandon artist Susan Lehman are lifelong artists. Carl earned a BFA from Miami University and continued studying with Mitch Kaufman-Katz and Pat Enos. Lehman studied fine art and textiles at California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland and graduated with Distinction. Their abstract paintings are evocative of varied experiences and places with richly textured surfaces created with techniques honed over a lifetime.

 

Vince Carl uses color, line, and texture to express his experiences, feelings, and memories in his large abstract painting. He paints by applying thin layer of acrylic

Ashland artist Micah Ofstedahl combines the conscious observations of science with the subconscious imagination of the mind in his surrealistic acrylic paintings. Jacksonville artist Leona Keene Sewitsky explores the unconscious mind in playful, dreamlike, and mysterious sculptures created from recycled objects and papier maché.

Micah Ofstedahl was born and raised in Austin, Minnesota and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in sculpture and ceramics from Minnesota State University.
