Dana Feagin Art News – Summer 2018 “Lennon”, Sanctuary One Calf © 2018 Dana Feagin (16 x 20) Tomorrow is First Friday Art Walk in Ashland and I’ve just moved back to the Ashland Art Center! My work is now hanging on the main level gallery just past Platt Anderson Winery and the front desk. Join us for art, music, and wine at 357 East Main Street. I’ll be there from 5-7PM. Love Rhymes with Everything Creekside Pizza, 92 N Main Street, Ashland “Jack, Crackle, Pop!”, Another Foster Failure © 2018 Dana Feagin (24 x 24) During August and September, the Love Rhymes with Everything art show, now with framed prints, is hanging at Creekside Pizza. Art du Jour AUGUST 2018 During the months of August Doug Iverson’s brilliant work will be in the Salon for both August and September, and Roy Musitelli will be filling in on the featured artist wall at Art du Jour Gallery. The Art du Jour members would like to invite you to our Third Friday Art Walk and Reception on August 17, an informal evening featuring art, snacks and an opportunity to meet the artists. Musical entertainment will be provided by guitarist Rod Petrone. Guest Artist Doug Iverson Doug Iverson has always enjoyed ‘good’ art. Since retiring at the end of 2009, he has been devoted to becoming the ‘best’ artist he can be. He took many basic art classes at Rogue Community College in Grants Pass. During the month of July Ginny Matheson will be the featured artist at Art du Jour Gallery, and Judy Benson LeNier’s work will continue to be featured in the Salon till the end of the month. As the featured artist for the month of June at Art Du Jour Gallery, Ginny Matheson presents’’a body of work themed “Mixed Media Landscapes”.

A professional photographer who specializes in photographing Wildlife, Judy Benson LaNier

During the month of June, Judy Benson LeNier’s work will be featured in the Salon and Mary Jo Heath will be the featured artist on the back wall at Art du Jour Gallery, 213 E. Main in Medford. Music on Third Friday will be provided by Minstrel Stream.

Guest Artist Judy Benson LaNier

A professional photographer who specializes in photographing Wildlife, Judy Benson LaNier’s love of Africa began in 1961 when her family hosted Ashland, Oregon’s first Rotary-sponsored exchange student who was from South Africa. The bond forged then has continued through the years as the two families visit each other in Africa and the U.S.A. The magnetism of Africa is strong and Judy has returned there eight times. Her range of photography has expanded to include North American and Hawaiian Flora and Fauna as well as landscapes.

Rogue Gallery and Britt Blend Music and Art May 18th

Art and Music have always gone well together…. and that is why the Rogue Gallery and Art Center and Britt Festival are excited to blend music and art this year!

Mark your calendars for May 18, 2018, 6:30 – 7:30 pm for the Third Friday Downtown Medford Artwalk Teddy Abrams will be at the Rogue Gallery to talk about his passion – music.

Teddy Abrams is a versatile musician and widely-acclaimed Director and Conductor of the Britt Orchestra. He plays the piano, clarinet and composes. A tireless advocate for the power of music, Abrams fosters interdisciplinary collaboration with organizations including the Louisville Ballet, the Center for Interfaith Relations, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, the Speed Art Museum, and the Folger Shakespeare Library.
