Welcome to Our New Member, Melody Blore
The Southern Oregon Artists Resource is delighted to welcome our newest member, painter Melody Blore. Please take a moment to visit her listing and follow the links to explore her online presence.
Melody Blore leads a quirky and colorful not-so-still life. She and her husband Darrell retired to Jacksonville, Oregon from Southern California in 2010. On a whim, she opened A French Bouteaque four months later. What began as a Parisian-style tearoom soon evolved into a source for those with “Tea Party Spirit.” It claimed to be “imagined and created by a Fancy Nancy / funky Martha Stewart kinda gal…A creative cottage full of imagination and magical experiences.”
When she closed, customers asked, “what will you do now?” She said she would paint. Her whimsical works reflect all her bouteaque embodied—a spirit of celebration. Melody paints in acrylic with a happy color

ART’Clectic Garden Party Group Show

ART’Clectic takes over the gallery at Art Presence with a Garden Party group show for May 2017! The group offers original pieces created by sixteen of the group’s artist and artisan members, an eclectic mix of framed fine art, giclée prints, home and garden decor items and furniture, photography, pine needle baskets, textile art, jewelry, and pottery. The show opens at 11:00 am on Friday, May 5, continuing every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 am–5:00 pm through May 28.

ART’Clectic Call to Artists ART’Clectic Artisans Market Pop-Up Event for Garden Party, May 5-28, 2017
Venue: at Art Presence Art Center, 206 N. Fifth St, Jacksonville, OR Event Dates: Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays during May 2017. Advertised Hours: Open 11:00 am to 5:00 pm Additional open hours: Thursday before Mother’s Day, May 11 (unadvertised) Featuring: furniture, jewelry, fused glass, woodworking, photography, 3-D art, hand-woven items, ornaments, pottery, baskets, textiles, gift-type items and fine art–displayed in a boutique setting. ART’Clectic call to artists and artisans from Southern Oregon. All pieces must be your own creation. Our goal is to represent 20 artists/artisans. You do not have to set up or man a booth, but gallery sitting is involved. We ask each artist to sit for two 3-hour shifts per event or present a demo from noon to three. shifts are 11:00-2:00 and 2:00-5:00. There is plenty of wall space for framed
