On display is a collection of mixed-media pieces by Arlene Warner who explores color, texture and atmosphere by layering paint and paper.

 

This collection of mixed-media pieces presents various explorations into color, texture and atmosphere; images created and revealed through a layering of paint and paper. They are intimate pieces that overlap the past with the present using scraps from everyday life – pages from handwritten notebooks, packaging elements, book pages, stamps, maps and other ephemera. Arlene has been a professional graphic designer for over 30 years and a mixed media/collage artist for the past 5 years. Her design

Ashland New Plays Festival (ANPF) Women’s Invitational Schedule Announced

 

Ashland, Ore — Ashland New Plays Festival today announced the full week’s schedule for the ANPF Women’s Invitational, which takes place March 20-27, 2016. Three prize- winning playwrights selected from 50 who were invited will have their winning plays produced as dramatic readings in matinee and evening performances at 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. March 25 – 27 in the Music Recital Hall on the Southern Oregon University campus.

 

They are Martyna Majok for Cost of Living, which will be directed by Penny Metropulos and stars Armando Duran, Regan Linton, Christopher Imbrosciano and Valerie Huntington; Lauren Yee for King of the Yees, directed by visiting artist Holly L. Derr and stars Leah Anderson, Joseph Anthony Foronda and Annie Yim; and Grand Prize winner Jiehae Park for Hannah and the Dread Gazebo, directed by Terri McMahon and still being cast.
