News from LightGarden Glass Art 2016 is another record-breaking year! We collected 133 Flowers of Hope panels this year!! Thanks to everyone who came out and participated in workshops or brought in panels to donate, especially the ones that Karen Christ brought all the way from Dunsmuir. It’s because of your hard work that we are able to keep this program going year after year. This is our 11th year! A special thank you to our amazing Barbara Kelberlau and Diane Kobal, who not only completed 7 panels each, but came out to help hang the display! Painting with Glass Enamels: Mini class New Class at LightGarden Glass Art THIS SATURDAY!! September 17th 1-4pm Learn to paint with glass enamels that actually fire shiny like glass. These enamels can be used on any kind of glass, they have no c.o.e. so can be used on 90, 96 or float glass. Use these enamels to step up your frit painting or to create any beautiful image you can imagine.
Mini class includes one 6″ x 6″ clear, and 7 colors of Colors for Earth paint pre-mixed for you. You will learn how to paint these wonderful fall leaves in many combinations. So easy painting on clear glass with your pattern underneath. Anyone can do it! This is a great project to learn on!

Flowers of Hope Artist’s Reception will be held at Art Presence this year This has been a great year for Flowers of Hope! We’ve had many people, including large groups, come in and make these beautiful panels for women with breast cancer. All of the panels will be on display at Art Presence September 23-25 11-5pm Flowers of Hope Artist’s Reception 1-4pm on Saturday the 24th. for more information on Art Presence A big THANK YOU to everyone who has contributed! Last year we broke another record and I’m confident that we can do it again this year but we’re not there yet!

For anyone I told we were having a yard sale this weekend, I have cancelled due to rain. I have rescheduled for June 10th & 11th depending on weather. Glass Racks Finished Stained Glass Clear textured, stained glass cut offs Seconds, Trial Pieces, things that have been here too long….who knows what will hit the tables?! (also household overstock!) Too much stuff! Need to make some room for more cool product!
On May 11th Spectrum Glass announced that they are stopping production of all art glass at the end of June. As they are one of the largest art glass manufacturers in the United States so this is troubling to say the least. We rely heavily on Spectrum glass. It accounts for about 85% of our glass inventory, including System 96 for fusing. Uroboros has stepped up and agreed to continue producing the System 96 line. They have
