About the author:  January at Art du Jour Gallery: Antique Quilts, Wearable Art and Hamilton Watercolors! And… A special talk by Charlotte Wirfs on January 23rd at 1:00pm about antique quilts and quilting techniques. Guests are invited to bring their own vintage or antique quilts to show or to get advice on mending them. Please note that Charlotte is not an appraiser, however. We are blessed with not just one special guest artist but three, and all three are displaying uniquely beautiful forms of quilting and fabric art. We are so happy to include two artists this week in the Fiber Artists category at SOAR. There is so much beautiful fiber art being produced here and this category has been sadly under-represented, but now we’re beginning to see some of the diversity of Southern Oregon’s offerings in this wonderful genre. Laura Lawrence’s My Dancing Threads is a great example of this work, and we’re delighted to welcome her to SOAR’s online community of southern Oregon artists.
