Rogue Valley artist Desmond Serratore is a plein air painter working in oil, capturing urban and rural landscapes in his impressionistic style. This exhibit showcases familiar scenes from southern Oregon, from around town and out to the coast.

Desmond Serratore learned to paint working as a commercial artist. He is a member of the Artists Workshop, the Southern Oregon Artists Guild, the Rogue Gallery & Art Center, Art Presence in Jacksonville, the Southern Oregon Society of Artists and the Ashland Gallery Association. The Surface and Structures exhibit features abstract artist Cammy Davis and sculptor Nadine Gay. Cammy Davis paints bold large abstract acrylic paintings. Nadine Gay is a multi-media artist who creates whimsical and contemplative ceramic figurative sculptures. The exhibit is a juxtaposition of large, textured, color enriched canvases with sculpture that is figurative, spiritual, and at times delicate. Each artists’ work is beautifully complemented by the other.

Cammy Davis is a Jacksonville artist who has been featured at fine art galleries between Seattle and Palm Springs. She has developed art tutorial videos and music art videos. Cammy studied fine art at the

‘LITHIA WATER’ Pastel By Steve Bennett

The Artists’ Workshop 34th Annual Show and Sale opens Friday, August 3, at 10 am at the Art Presence Center, corner of 5th and D in Jacksonville.

A special Reception with the Artists will be held on Saturday, August 4, from 2-5 pm. Admission to the show and the reception is free.

The group is comprised of passionate, accomplished artists who capture local landscapes, historical buildings, flowers, still lifes, abstracts, and other subjects using oil, pastel, watercolor, acrylic, print-making, encaustic, mixed media, ink, etc. Members include award-winning collected artists who may also teach art classes and workshops.

The Southern Oregon Artists Resource extends a warm welcome to Artist Katy Cauker!

New Works by Katy Cauker

Originally from Fort Worth, Cauker studied interior design at the University of Texas at Austin from 1967 – 71, going on to earn her Bachelor’s in Art with a major in Ceramics from East Texas State in 1975. She relocated to Oregon in January 1976, building a studio at her home the following year. A frequent exhibitor, this accomplished artist’s work is also regularly seen in juried shows.
