Explore Italian art, wine tasting, hors d’oeuvres, live music, and conversation. Joan E. Schuler’s lifelong admiration of architectural structure and nature’s details inspired her desire to study all aspects of design. While traveling and being surrounded by beautiful surroundings, she discovered her passion for photography and interior design. Photography captures magnificent moments and scenery to share with others as fine art in living spaces. Joan’s exhibit will showcase color photography and canvas prints from a month long travel in 2011, touring from Rome to northern Italy. Eugene Bennett and Friends: His Personal Art Collection May 9 – July 3, 2014, Reception: Friday, May 16, 5-8pm The Rogue Gallery presents works from the private collection of Eugene Bennett including paintings, drawings, sculptures, assemblages, prints, and ceramics. The exhibit features the work of nationally and regionally known artists collected by Eugene Bennett as well as favorites of his own work. All works will be available for purchase. Proceeds from the sale of artwork will go to the Rogue Gallery Endowment and the Oregon Community Foundation. There are few things as exhilarating, challenging and rewarding as plein air painting. Create fresh, live documents of the life and light around us everyday. Sarah will choose excellent locations for the time of day and pleasure of study, focusing on urban settings and including sprawling views, locations with lovely flowers, and foliage. You are invited to participate in Artist Day at Hanley Farm, June 14. This year we expect a significant visitor increase, as we’re partnering with the farm’s Summer Lawn Party. This means more exposure and potentially more sales for you! Participation is the same as last year – arrive early to set up. There is NO FEE. We do however, ask that you donate 10% of the proceeds from your sales to the farm. The Summer Lawn Party is a new event, and we’re excited to invite you to join in! So plan to come out, sell your works, and enjoy the ambiance of Hanley Farm. You’re encouraged to practice your art or craft.
