Join us for a special evening of Fine Art Fotografia of Italia by Joan Schuler, interior designer and photographer, at South Stage Cellars, 125 South 3rd Street in Jacksonville. Explore Italian art, wine tasting, hors d’oeuvres, live music, and conversation.

Joan E. Schuler’s lifelong admiration of architectural structure and nature’s details inspired her desire to study all aspects of design. While traveling and being surrounded by beautiful surroundings, she discovered her passion for photography and interior design. Photography captures magnificent moments and scenery to share with others as fine art in living spaces. Joan’s exhibit will showcase color photography and canvas prints from a month long travel in 2011, touring from Rome to northern Italy.

Joan’s designing has been featured in HGTV, DIY, Extreme Makeover Home Edition, Affluent, Southern Oregon, and Medford Living magazines. Her focus is to create interior ambiance that reflects

Artist’s Day at Hanley Farm June 14

June 14 at Hanley Farm – Flag Day Celebration, Artists Fair & Old Fashioned Lawn Party!

A day you won’t want to miss!!!! Put June 14 on your calendar and plan to join us for an old-fashioned lawn party at historic Hanley Farm.

Dozens of artists will be practicing their craft and selling their wares. Maybe you’ll fund that unique gift or beautiful piece of art work you’ve been seeking for your home! Or take a guided tour of the historic Hanley House. And of course, much MORE, including – music by The Rogue Suspects; a flag field; a presentation by Chelsea Rose, of SOU Archaeology lab; traditional games such as badminton and horseshoes; and farm-fresh food from the Hanley Kitchen.

Rogue Gallery Main Gallery Exhibit in May

Eugene Bennett and Friends: His Personal Art Collection May 9 – July 3, 2014, Reception: Friday, May 16, 5-8pm


The Rogue Gallery presents works from the private collection of Eugene Bennett including paintings, drawings, sculptures, assemblages, prints, and ceramics. The exhibit features the work of nationally and regionally known artists collected by Eugene Bennett as well as favorites of his own work. All works will be available for purchase. Proceeds from the sale of artwork will go to the Rogue Gallery Endowment and the Oregon Community Foundation.


Spanning six decades of Mr. Bennett’s own work, and artwork he collected, the exhibit contains a wide variety of styles including Modernists, abstract, and traditional. “It is fascinating to see the evolution of Eugene Bennett’s work throughout his life”, says Executive Director Kim Hearon. “His personal collection of other artists represents some of the best work by many of the region’s

Get down and dirty painting in the field and in the street. There are few things as exhilarating, challenging and rewarding as plein air painting. Create fresh, live documents of the life and light around us everyday. Sarah will choose excellent locations for the time of day and pleasure of study, focusing on urban settings and including sprawling views, locations with lovely flowers, and foliage. Color, light, proportion atmospheric perspective, linear perspective, composition, value, use of materials will all be extensively covered in this fun and meaty workshop.

Call to Artists: Artist Day at Hanley Farm

You are invited to participate in Artist Day at Hanley Farm, June 14. This year we expect a significant visitor increase, as we’re partnering with the farm’s Summer Lawn Party. This means more exposure and potentially more sales for you! Participation is the same as last year – arrive early to set up. There is NO FEE. We do however, ask that you donate 10% of the proceeds from your sales to the farm.


The Summer Lawn Party is a new event, and we’re excited to invite you to join in! So plan to come out, sell your works, and enjoy the ambiance of Hanley Farm. You’re encouraged to practice your art or craft. And, if you’d like, please display works you wish to sell.
