The legislation which would have hacked a further $10.6 million in funding for the National Endowment for the Arts from the FY 2012 Interior Appropriations bill was soundly defeated with a 240 – 181 vote yesterday, and Congressional District #2 Representative Greg Walden did his part to help! We sent Rep. Walden strong admonishments letting him know this was what we wanted him to do. Won’t you join us now in sending him a nice thank you through the NEA’s “Advocate for the Arts” system?
