Call to Artists from Hanley Farm Artist Day & Craft Fair We invite you to join us June 20 at Hanley Farm and participate in our Artists Day & Craft Fair. Bring your paints, charcoal, pencils, beading,– which ever medium you use to create your beautiful works of art! – and practice your craft as you enjoy the ambience only Hanley Farm can offer! This year, we’re expanding our event to include much more. And, we’re offering you a couple of options! If you plan to demonstrate your craft, not sell, there is no fee for a 10’x10’ area. Taste of Summer Jacksonville Oregon Taste of Summer is an annual celebration in Jacksonville presented by Britt Music & Arts Festival, the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce and Jacksonville Oregon Business Association. The event includes a wine walk, live music, food booths, art, classic cars, and more. This year they are expanding the event to include an “artisans’ alley” in which selected artisans or crafters will be invited to show and sell their products. Children’s Heritage Fair CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS The 2014 Children’s Heritage Fair at Hanley Farm is just around the corner. This cherished annual event relies heavily on volunteers like you. June’s just around the corner! As you can see from the flyer below, whole bunches is taking place that day! All you need to do is show up at 9am, definitely no later than 10:30am (event starts at 11am), and choose your spot to set up. There’s no fee of any sort, HOWEVER, if you sell some of your work, we request a 10% donation of your proceeds. That’s it! Due to the number of events taking place this year, artists are asked to set up on the front lawn of the Hanley Farm House, and surrounding areas. You are invited to participate in Artist Day at Hanley Farm, June 14. This year we expect a significant visitor increase, as we’re partnering with the farm’s Summer Lawn Party. This means more exposure and potentially more sales for you! Participation is the same as last year – arrive early to set up. There is NO FEE. We do however, ask that you donate 10% of the proceeds from your sales to the farm. The Summer Lawn Party is a new event, and we’re excited to invite you to join in! One Sunday each month during the summer, SOHS is opening Hanley Farm to the community. We call it Open Farm Day! Sunday, June 16 is Artists Day. Artists from Southern Oregon will be at Hanley, painting, photographing and displaying their work. Hanley House, by Stefan Baumann Many will have unique pieces of Southern Oregon art for sale. Join us at the Farm to talk with the artists, enjoy a picnic lunch (bring your own) and soak up some of the positive energy of historic Hanley Farm. Docent guided tours of Hanley House are $3, free for SOHS members. The Farm is open from 11am – 3pm this Sunday, June 16. Parking is free. Admission is free. Art is not free. | |
