Hanley Farm Artist Day & Craft Fair

Hanley Farm Celebrates Local Artisans! June 20, Hanley Farm is hosting local artists and crafters at the farm. Come out, admire original works of art; unique, one-of-a-kind jewelry; hand-made crafts, etc. Speak with fair participants; learn more about how they-do-what they do. AND support your local artisans! Find the just-right gift for your friends, family, OR for yourself! Be sure to take a self-guided garden tour. During the day, take time to relax, and picnic by the pasture. You can buy locally grown food at the fair OR bring your own picnic. In addition to all this, there will be music, and children (adults too!) may want to get their face painted; children can travel back in time as they play Heritage games. Admission: FREE! We invite you to join us June 20 at Hanley Farm and participate in our Artists Day & Craft Fair. Bring your paints, charcoal, pencils, beading,– which ever medium you use to create your beautiful works of art! – and practice your craft as you enjoy the ambience only Hanley Farm can offer!

 

This year, we’re expanding our event to include much more. And, we’re offering you a couple of options!

If you plan to demonstrate your craft, not sell, there is no fee for a 10’x10’ area. If you choose to simply set your easel up, paint, draw, create – there is no fee. If you want to also sell your work, there is a $35 vendor fee for a 10’x10’ area. (Visit sohs.org to complete the vendor form and pay the vendor fee.)

Artist’s Day at Hanley Farm June 14

June 14 at Hanley Farm – Flag Day Celebration, Artists Fair & Old Fashioned Lawn Party!

A day you won’t want to miss!!!! Put June 14 on your calendar and plan to join us for an old-fashioned lawn party at historic Hanley Farm.

Dozens of artists will be practicing their craft and selling their wares. Maybe you’ll fund that unique gift or beautiful piece of art work you’ve been seeking for your home! Or take a guided tour of the historic Hanley House. And of course, much MORE, including – music by The Rogue Suspects; a flag field; a presentation by Chelsea Rose, of SOU Archaeology lab; traditional games such as badminton and horseshoes; and farm-fresh food from the Hanley Kitchen.

The 2014 Children’s Heritage Fair at Hanley Farm is just around the corner. This cherished annual event relies heavily on volunteers like you. We have an exciting line-up this year and hope you will join us!

Hands-on Homesteading Crafts, Interactive Demonstrations, Heritage Breed Animals, Old-Fashioned Kitchen Skills, & much more! Volunteers are still needed especially for SATURDAY, MAY 31 to assist at the craft and cooking stations. June’s just around the corner! As you can see from the flyer below, whole bunches is taking place that day! All you need to do is show up at 9am, definitely no later than 10:30am (event starts at 11am), and choose your spot to set up. There’s no fee of any sort, HOWEVER, if you sell some of your work, we request a 10% donation of your proceeds. That’s it! Due to the number of events taking place this year, artists are asked to set up on the front lawn of the Hanley Farm House, and surrounding areas.

 

As in past events, you’ll have several great sites, including the lawn in front of Hanley House, the area to the left of the pavilion, the lovely spring house area, Jackson Creek area, etc., to set up in. We just ask that the areas to be used for badminton, horse shoe

Call to Artists: Artist Day at Hanley Farm

You are invited to participate in Artist Day at Hanley Farm, June 14. This year we expect a significant visitor increase, as we’re partnering with the farm’s Summer Lawn Party. This means more exposure and potentially more sales for you! Participation is the same as last year – arrive early to set up. There is NO FEE. We do however, ask that you donate 10% of the proceeds from your sales to the farm.

 

The Summer Lawn Party is a new event, and we’re excited to invite you to join in! So plan to come out, sell your works, and enjoy the ambiance of Hanley Farm. You’re encouraged to practice your art or craft. And, if you’d like, please display works you wish to sell.

ARTISTS DAY AT HANLEY FARM JUNE 16TH

One Sunday each month during the summer, SOHS is opening Hanley Farm to the community. We call it Open Farm Day! Sunday, June 16 is Artists Day. Artists from Southern Oregon will be at Hanley, painting, photographing and displaying their work.

Many will have unique pieces of Southern Oregon art for sale. Join us at the Farm to talk with the artists, enjoy a picnic lunch (bring your own) and soak up some of the positive energy of historic Hanley Farm. Docent guided tours of Hanley House are $3, free for SOHS members. The Farm is open from 11am – 3pm this Sunday, June 16. Parking is free. Admission is free. Art is not free.
