ART’Clectic takes over the gallery at Art Presence with a Garden Party group show for May 2017! The group offers original pieces created by sixteen of the group’s artist and artisan members, an eclectic mix of framed fine art, giclée prints, home and garden decor items and furniture, photography, pine needle baskets, textile art, jewelry, and pottery. The show opens at 11:00 am on Friday, May 5, continuing every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 am–5:00 pm through May 28.

New Exhibits Scheduled At RCC Art Galleries

GRANTS PASS — Two new exhibits go on display in October, November, and December at the Rogue Community College Firehouse Gallery and Wiseman Gallery.

“Presence and Past,” an exhibit by Braeden Cox, will be on display October 28 to November 21 at the Firehouse Gallery, located in RCC Historic City Hall at the corner of Fourth and H streets. Hours are 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.

Cox, a Portland artist, presents a series of charcoal and ink drawings that use abstract gestural marks to suggest geological, botanical and structural forms.

Mixed media works by RCC art instructor Pat Enos will also be on display in the Firehouse Gallery Community Exhibits Room.

A First Friday reception is scheduled 5:30to 8:30 p.m. on November 7.

In the Wiseman Gallery, which is located on the RCC Redwood Campus, “The Subject is War” will be on display from November 5

“Angels” Group Show Artist Reception at the GoodBean Cafe this Friday from 4-7pm!!

Mary had an idea, inspired by the artwork she saw at her friend Kate Ingraham’s house. The next time she met with me, she asked if we could do a show of Kate’s artistic photography for December. She was excited that the new track lighting was brightening the previously dark back wall and corner, and thought Kate’s work would look great back there, even in the dim days of December. Having recently been informed that the artist I’d scheduled for December would not be able to come through, I enthusiastically said YES!!, and the planning for this month’s “Angels” show began.

That settled, the first thing was to determine if Kate had enough pieces to fill the space. While she did have a fair number of framed pieces ready to go, we knew we would need more, so I sent a Call to Artists email to the members of the
