$3,500 Grants – All Media Eligible

The Hopper Prize is now accepting entries for our Fall 2021 artist grants.

For this open call, we have increased grant awards to $3,500.

We are offering 2 grants in the amount of $3,500 and 4 grants in the amount of $1,000.

Grants will be awarded through an open call art competition juried by leading contemporary curators.

The Hopper Prize was established in order to increase the recognition of artwork created by artists and photographers. Our aim is to advance artists’ careers by providing them with unrestricted financial support that is coupled with a platform for increased visibility. We accept submissions twice a year via an open call. We are currently accepting submissions for the Fall 2021 grant cycle.

Program Highlights

Total Awards: $11,000.00 USD for visual artists

• $3,500.00 – 2 artists will each receive a $3,500 (USD) grant • $1,000.00 –

Hey, environmental and humanitarian photographers, looking for a great grant opportunity? The 2019 Imagely Fund is officially open — and this year, we’re giving away TWO GRANTS!

Imagely is excited to launch our 7th annual Imagely Fund which will offer a $5000 grant to one environmental and one humanitarian photographer to use toward interesting and meaningful projects.

Grant season offers our team an incredible chance to check out the amazing work of photographers around the globe. Each year we are inspired by, and learn from these photo stories. Whether it’s documenting wars or natural disasters, spotlighting injustices and inequalities, or highlighting issues in conservation, we feel honored to witness the impact that powerful imagery has to evoke positive change.

Rogue Gallery & Art Center announces receipt of $500,000 endowment from the estate of Eugene Bennett

“This gift from his estate will enable the Rogue Gallery & Art Center to continue Eugene Bennett’s vision of bringing the visual arts to Southern Oregon” says executive director Kim Hearon. In addition to the endowment, the Bennett estate also appointed the Rogue Gallery & Art Center as the seller of his personal artwork from his estate. The Rogue Gallery will have a special exhibition of Eugene Bennett’s art on display and available for purchase from June 29 – July 6.

Rogue Gallery Receives Grant to Fund Elementary Arts Outreach Program Expansion

Rogue Gallery & Art Center receives a grant from Fred W. Fields Fund and Butch & Richard Fraley Charitable Fund of the Oregon Community Foundation

The Rogue Gallery & Art Center is the recipient of an $11,500 grant from the Oregon Community Foundation to fund their Elementary Arts Outreach Program Expansion. The Elementary Arts Outreach Program will benefit seven fifth grade classes from Jackson, Kennedy, Wilson and Washington Elementary Schools throughout the 2013-2014 school year with visual arts education including classroom visits by an artist educator and field trips to the Rogue Gallery & Art Center.

 

The Program began five years ago with one fifth grade class at Jackson Elementary in response to the lack of formal visual arts education in the elementary school curriculum. With the generous support of foundations and in partnership with the Medford Public School District, the Rogue Gallery & Art Center expanded
