SOAR was created and is maintained by art advocate and web designer Hannah West in Jacksonville, Oregon to promote our diverse and talented arts community to our visitors and the rest of the world. $3,500 Grants – All Media Eligible The Hopper Prize is now accepting entries for our Fall 2021 artist grants. For this open call, we have increased grant awards to $3,500. We are offering 2 grants in the amount of $3,500 and 4 grants in the amount of $1,000. Grants will be awarded through an open call art competition juried by leading contemporary curators. The Hopper Prize was established in order to increase the recognition of artwork created by artists and photographers. Our aim is to advance artists’ careers by providing them with unrestricted financial support that is coupled with a platform for increased visibility. We accept submissions twice a year via an open call. We are currently accepting submissions for the Fall 2021 grant cycle. About the author: The subject matter that I am interested in is representational. I strive to be thorough and accurate and yet catch what is fleeting and lively. In addition to the endowment, the Bennett estate also appointed the Rogue Gallery & Art Center as the seller of his personal artwork from his estate. The Rogue Gallery will have a special exhibition of Eugene Bennett’s art on display and available for purchase from June 29 – July 6. The Elementary Arts Outreach Program will benefit seven fifth grade classes from Jackson, Kennedy, Wilson and Washington Elementary Schools throughout the 2013-2014 school year with visual arts education including classroom visits by an artist educator and field trips to the Rogue Gallery & Art Center.
