The Center on Contemporary Art (CoCA), is pleased to announce our upcoming show, Ceci N’est Pas une Pipe d’un Homme, in partnership with REFRACT. This show will be opening Oct. 3rd through Nov. 23rd and feature all women flameworkers from the Pacific Northwest and is in keeping with CoCA’s 2019 mission to amplify women and femme-identified voices. and you will make one 4″ x 4″ abstract tile, all supplies included. If you would like to make one or two of the the 6″ x 6″ birch tiles you will need to buy the ink to make them. Flowers of Hope Our Flowers of Hope program is one of the easiest things you can do here to get introduced to glass fusing! Your finished artwork will go to a woman fighting breast cancer. We were quite a few short last year due to a number of obstacles but I’m sure we can get back on course this year if you will join us! More information on our Flowers of Hope program

Even if you’ve never done any glass fusing before you can make an 8″ x 8″ fused panel to donate to Flowers of Hope. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! $15 buys you a base piece of glass, access to all frits, stringers and scrap glass, hanging hardware and firing. Come in and try your hand at fusing and find out how easy and fun it can be. You’ll also be doing a wonderful thing for a woman going through a tough time.

Reminder: Same Day Jurying for RGAC “Spirit in Hand” Holiday Boutique today, November 13, with drop off from 11am-12 noon and pick up between 2-3:00pm, and again on Monday, November 15 with drop off from 11am-12 noon and pick up between 2-3:00pm. These are the only days on which artwork will be accepted. Artwork will be for sale through the end of the year.
