It’s been a pleasure meeting so many fine artists here in the Rogue Valley. The community here is wonderful.
But, as happens from time to time, I’m moving out of the area. And, that means time to sell stuff. Check out the images, which outline what I have: a shrink wrap machine and a print rack. If you’re interested or know someone who might be, please send Margaret (Peggy) Stermer-Cox an email. Margaret (Peggy) Stermer-Cox [email protected] https://stermer-cox.com

About the author: The subject matter that I am interested in is representational. I strive to be thorough and accurate and yet catch what is fleeting and lively. The work I'm most proud of shows life as I see it: fatally flawed, but amazingly beautiful. See Sarah's listing at the Southern Oregon Artists Resource to learn more and make contact.
About once a year I decide I need to get seriously organized and I go through the studio finding pieces that I’d like to find a nice new home. These are pieces I love but don’t have plans to show and so I’d much rather get them to folks at a great deal instead of […]

About the author: When I moved to Oregon in the 1970s I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Living here is an endless source of inspiration for many of my watercolor paintings. Oregon landscapes and rivers have been a favorite subject, as well as still life, florals and architecture. Another source of inspiration is traveling with my husband. We love Italy, the place of my family’s roots. I find the rich textures and colors of old world cultures, as well as the people, wonderful subjects to paint. It was here in Oregon that I was introduced to watercolors. I’ve had the privilege of learning under the instruction of accomplished watercolorists like Lavonne Tarbox-Crone, Judy Morris and Margaret Godfrey. These wonderful artists have inspired and nurtured me, but above all I want to acknowledge that my abilities are a gift of the Creator, whose beautiful masterpieces cannot be rivaled. I have been a member of the Watercolor Society of Oregon since 2004. Visit my new website at lindaabblettwatercolor.com!

I created a praying angel painting for the GoodBean’s Angels show, and now that I have a new blog, I wanted tomake it the subject of my first post! I thought I would take an approach that’s a little different from the art I normally create. This angel is 11″ x 14″, a watercolor and ink collage. She has already attracted many lovely compliments, and will be on display with the angels of other southern Oregon artists at GoodBean Coffee in Jacksonville, Oregon until the afternoon of December 31, 2015.

I’m making a real effort to get most of my available work up onto my Etsy site – I’ve been so resistant to the dull work of it all, but for whatever reason, I’m on a roll now. You know, just in case you have $60 – $3000 burning a hole in your pocket. (lol, […]

Farmhouse at Winters Cutoff ~ Original Landscape Painting by Stefan Baumann 12″ x 18″ Oil on Linen Canvas Framing Framed in dark wood with gold Signed Lower Right – Baumann Monogram GV Date: 2012 Provenance This beautiful old farmhouse near Winters cutoff is the first landmark that I see as I return from teaching classes for two days in the Bay area. I know I am on my way home to Mount Shasta when I drive on this road dotted with old structures, barns, and farm equipment. Old farmhouses like this one reminds me of a time when families worked…

Luscious Pink Roses: Original Still Life Oil Painting by Stefan Baumann 12″ x 16″ Oil on Canvas Framing Framed in black wood with gold Signed Lower Right – Baumann Monogram GV Date: 2013 Provenance On Valentine’s Day 2013, I presented my love with this bouquet of beautiful pink roses, and then I offered to paint a still life oil painting of the flowers and create a lasting tribute to the love we celebrated on Valentine’s Day. I wanted to reflect a sensual and sultry atmosphere that compliments the pink roses and reflects the romantic mood of the day. Love is…

Original Floral Still Life Oil Painting by Stefan Baumann 12″ x 18″ Oil on Canvas Panel Framing Framed in Gold and Wood Signed Lower right – Baumann Monogram GV Date: 2012 Provenance When I go through my studio, I often find little treasures I have painted that have been lost for a few months, and then found with much delight. When I am stuck on a painting or I am not sure if a painting is complete, I turn it away from my view and set it in a corner for a few days or weeks. When I rediscover the…

Three awesome businesses in Ashland, OR have been featuring my work – Smithfields of course has been an awesome venue and inspiration – check out the new kids menu (and you may think it should be kids’ or even kid’s, this is an ongoing controversy), anyway, it’s a foray into illustration for me. Loved doing […]
