The first painting in a new series of work for my show “Flora & Fauna” at Seattle’s Axis Gallery…..

Pioneer Square’s Axis Gallery presents “Flora & Fauna”, an exhibit bringing together three Seattle based artists whose exquisite attention to detail is apparent in depictions of the foliage like forms which weave throughout their wood panel compositions. From bats and delicate sea creatures to animal skulls and whale skeleton, Michelle Anderst, Joe Vollan and Ariel Wickham share a fascination for the dark and lushly intricate forms in nature.

Opening reception May 1st, 2014 from 5-9. Show runs through May 29th.

Axis Gallery, 308 1st Ave S, Seattle WA 98104
