5th Annual Ashland Open Studio Tour Come Into Our Studios… October 13th & 14th,2018 Free to public
The Ashland Gallery Association sponsors the Ashland Open Studio Tour. On the weekend of October 13th and 14th from 11-5pm both days, the public is invited to tour the studios of the visual artists of this region including Ashland, Phoenix and Talent. On this studio tour, you will find exceptional artwork and are invited to see working studios and artworks in progress. A great chance to engage with the artists and ask question about their work and individual creative processes.
Demonstrations are scheduled throughout the two-day tour.

Get inspired by 23 artists in 18 studio locations throughout Josephine County. Artist’s whose studios are located south of the Rogue River have their studios open on 9/23 & 9/24. The next weekend, 9/30 & 10/1, artists whose studios are north of the Rogue River have their studios open. Both days the studios are open 10 am – 5 pm. Tickets for the event are $20 per adult. The map of all the studio locations is the ticket. And for the first 150 tickets we have an Artist Guide Book, featuring photos of each artist’s work, and their artist statements. It is a 52 page, 6” x 9” book. Attendees can visit as many studios as they like, over the course of the 4 days. Not only will the boys and girls be getting trimmed up but we will also have food, (yummy BBQ), music, and of course, wine! Throughout the day there will also be live fiber demonstrations of shearing, spinning, carding, and knitting the fiber. Also watch demonstrations on wet felting. Make your own wet felted soaps…yes soap! Watch the fiber from the alpaca turn into a scarf!

“Threads to New Worlds—A Collection of Fiber Arts” will be opening on Friday, May 3rd at Art Presence in Jacksonville. This juried show features 30 pieces of fiber art created by 24 artists from Oregon. Art Presence is located at 206 North Fifth Street in Jacksonville. The hours for this show are 11:00am until 5:00pm on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in May, as well as on Memorial Day. An opening reception will be held on Friday May 10th with hors’doeurves and drinks at the gallery from 5pm-7pm.

Art Presence Art Center will exhibit “The Fine Art of Pastels” during the month of April. Linda Evans will have a solo show of her pastels in the front gallery. Evans will also demonstrate her process on April 6th from 2 – 3 pm.

The opening celebration of the Britt Festival’s summer of concerts is Saturday, June 9th, happening all over Jacksonville! Art Presence members will show and demonstrate their art on 3rd Street from 11 to 4 pm, while the gallery at the brand new Art Presence Art Center will be open on the Court House lawn (corner of 5th and D Streets) from 10 to 4 PM. The gallery will be open Sunday as well, June 10 from 10 to 4.
