Judy Elliott Featured Artist at Gallery One
Silk artist Judy Elliott will be the featured artist at Gallery One in Grants Pass and will demonstrate her process for painting on silk on First Friday, July 7th, from 6-7pm.
“Crabbing”
Judy Elliott’s artwork relates to traditional painting. However, instead of painting on canvas, she uses dye and resist on silk, with an emphasis on wildlife and its preservation. Watch a demonstration of her work on July 7th, 6-7pm at Gallery One in Grants Pass.
“Reflection”
“My inspiration for painting on silk is influenced by my experience while growing up in Hawaii with a family who appreciated art, music, exotic cultures and a love of nature, as well as my observations while hiking throughout Oregon. After reading countless articles about the perils of nature and it’s wildlife, I chose to express the urgency of man’s awareness and

Monday, June 23rd at 7:00PM at the Medford Library, S.O.S.A. will offer a special, free to the public, New Art Product Program and Demonstration.
Multi-generational, family owned and operated since 1968, the La Petite Gallery evolved into Central Art Supply. The most complete art store between Sacramento and Portland, it leaves regional artists wanting for little.
Adam Bunch will lead off the evening demonstrating his master skills and offering tips using Copic Markers. Following light refreshments, Central Art owner, Dan Ebert, will introduce us to a variety of new products including a demonstration of Pebeo Paint. New to me, the finished product looks like shiny melted glass swirled together. It’s awesome.
We are creative people…let’s explore and have some fun for the sheer joy of it! Join us Monday evening at the downtown Medford Library at 7:00pm.
For additional information contact Alx Fox, 541.450.7092

About the author: I begin my watercolor paintings with an idea and a drawing. I build the painting layer by layer, drawing lines and shapes, looking for rhythm and feeling. My color sense is a reflection of my childhood in New Mexico fused with colors of my home in the Northwest. My goal is to go beyond the surface to find joy, wonder and a bit of mystery. I have shown my works in galleries, juried, group and solo shows in Washington, Oregon, Montana and New Mexico. My paintings are in private collections in the west, New York and Norway.
