LACDA 2015 International Juried Competition

Curators: Leigh Gleason, Curator of Collections, California Museum of Photography Shana Nys Dambrot, Critic, L.A. Weekly, Whitehot Magazine, Huffington Post, Art Ltd.

Enter our juried competition for digital art and photography. Entrants submit three JPEG files of original work. All styles of artwork and photography where digital processes of any kind were integral to the creation of the images are acceptable.

The selected winner receives 10 prints up to 44×60 inches on canvas or museum quality paper (approximately a $2,500-$3,000 value) to be shown in a solo exhibition in our main gallery. The show will be widely promoted and will include a reception for the artist.

Juried Exhibitions: Call for Fine Art at WMG

This is a call for art by ALL artists for four 2014 exhibitions at Woman Made Gallery. Please note that the entry deadline for ‘Mutations of Otherness’ is February 16, 2014. WMG membership is not required in order to enter into juried shows or exhibit at WMG. You do not have to log in to submit your entry Online – and creating your online entry in one session is the best way to submit.

 

Artists may submit up to three works by mail with jpgs and application on a CD or online as digital files. Video artists may mail their entries or post video stills online and include a link to the video(s) in the statement section. Please include one detail per work only if necessary, as with book art or three-dimensional works or if areas in two-dimensional work need to be clarified. Accepted artwork must not exceed

“Our Landscape: The Trees” photo contest – Call for entries, deadline June 5

Our landscape is not complete without trees. Whether urban, suburban or rural, trees are the integral part of nature of this planet. They are sometimes taken for granted, and sometimes they are revered with awe. We cannot exist without trees. TBM invites you to submit images depicting the beauty, reverence and importance of this botanical gift. Color and/or black and white images will be accepted. Representations of trees of any shape, color, condition or species are welcomed.

Grants Pass Museum of Art calls to artists for entries to the 2013 Rogue Valley Biennial. As is the tradition of long-standing biennial traditions such as the Venice Bienniale in Italy and the Whitney Biennial in NYC, the Rogue Vally Biennial will present the art of our time, work that is innovative, showcasing contemporary artists both emerging and established, working with subject matter, processes and materials that reflect 21st century perspectives and concerns. The work included in the exhibit may contain politically and socially relevant content, be provocative in subject matter and imagery, and challenge viewers’ aesthetic perceptions.
