On Mother’s Day weekend downtown Medford will host its 11th annual Art In Bloom in celebration of fine arts, flowers, local wine and food. Spanning from 6th-8th St. and from Riverside to Front, and continuing down Central in front of the Craterian, this year’s festival will offer more activities than it ever has before.

The Oregon cranberry harvest season stretches from late September through October. Southwestern Oregon, sometimes called the Napa Valley of cranberries, produces some of the finest cranberries in the country. The long growing season along the western half of Coos and Curry Counties means berries that are sweeter and darker—deep red to purple at harvest—than berries grown in other parts of the United States. Just in time for the holidays, three native Oregon artisans share their enthusiasm for the cranberry.

Oregon-inspired culinary events, including a Meet the Winemakers and Cheesemaker Dinner and a farmer’s market-style artisan food and wine festival, will kick off with the Oregon Cheese Festival during the third weekend in March.
At the festival on Saturday March 20th, thousands of visitors will sample cow, sheep and goat cheese from Oregon and Northern California creameries, including Fraga Farm, Juniper Grove Farm, Pholia Farm, Tumalo Farms, Silver Falls Creamery, Siskiyou Crest Dairy, Tillamook County Creamery, Willamette Valley Cheese Co., Fern’s Edge Dairy, Rivers Edge Chevre, Ancient Heritage Dairy, Cypress Grove, Vella Cheese, Rogue Creamery, and many others.
