SOAR was created and is maintained by art advocate and web designer Hannah West in Jacksonville, Oregon to promote our diverse and talented arts community to our visitors and the rest of the world.

Artists! All local chalk artists are invited to participate in this small but growing event which is now in its fourth year. Each year’s event has a different theme, and this year it’s Italian/French style masterpiece art, based on Historical Italy’s “The Grazie.” We also invite volunteer musicians, local and professional alike. We start this year’s event with 5 local artists and a few local musicians who are interested in making this event a place of destination. Art Enthusiasts, Parents & Residents! Join us for a celebration of quality chalk art and local live music in downtown Medford on Bartlett off Main St. on Saturday, June 28th from 9-9pm and Sunday June 29th from 12-6 pm. We will have chalk squares available for kids to experiment and play with. Muralist Cathy Gallatin announces a Call to Artists for a first annual Chalk Art Festival to take place in Medford this June! The “Takin it to the Street Chalk Art & Music Festival” will be held in downtown Medford on Bartlett St. between Main & 8th Streets on June 23rd & 24th. The theme for 2012 is “People ‘Round the World.”
