Alpaca Shearing Day at Caprice Vineyards June 6th

Not only will the boys and girls be getting trimmed up but we will also have food, (yummy BBQ), music, and of course, wine! Throughout the day there will also be live fiber demonstrations of shearing, spinning, carding, and knitting the fiber. Also watch demonstrations on wet felting. Make your own wet felted soaps…yes soap! Watch the fiber from the alpaca turn into a scarf!

A Taste of Summer with Art Presence

Yesterday’s Taste of Summer opening celebration of the Britt Festival was a colorful…artistic…and hot! way to welcome the 2013 concert season and summer in Jacksonville. There was art all over town, and Art Presence led the way. We know a picture is worth a thousand words, so I’ll keep my typing brief (it’s another beautiful day out there today!) and post the pictures I took of our artist members making sure art had a presence in town and the kids who participated in the art activities we presented on the lawn in font of the gallery…

Caprice Vineyards Announces Chopin by the Vine Benefit Event

Caprice Vineyards will become the setting for “Chopin by the Vine” on Sunday October 7th. They will bring the Concert Piano sounds of Anna K. Rose performing selections of Frederic Chopin, the fine art of Pegi Smith, the fine cuisine of Chef Jay, and Caprice Vineyards fine wines together for an evening of sensory entertainment. The event, benefiting the International health-care/health-education organization “Project Helping Hands” (PHH) will also feature a short presentation by PHH Founder/Executive Director Jeff Solheim.
