Prospectus:

The City of Grants Pass Committee on Public Art (CoPA) invites artists 18 years of age and older to submit original artwork in any 2-D or 3-D media with the exception of video/film, installation or performance art for Art in Motion.

This public art project is essentially a gallery on wheels; artwork is displayed on 54” x 34” vinyl print on the side of one of the Josephine Community Transit buses. The art is there to engage people, expand public art visibility, create opportunities for the community to experience art in everyday life and enhance the overall artistic climate of the City of Grants Pass.

This prospectus solicits submissions for two exhibition periods. The first from January through June 2019, and the second from July through December 2019. The work will be selected based on originality, artistic conception and quality.

Call to Artists for 2017 Port of Bandon Boardwalk Art Show

Artists are invited to submit work for “Blossoms, Butterflies and Bees,” the 2017 Port of Bandon Boardwalk Art Show.

2017 Port of Bandon Boardwalk Art Show : Port of Bandon Boardwalk Art Show 2016 judges Linda Mecum and Reg Pullen cruise the boardwalk.

The annual show is an open air, public art display on the picturesque Bandon boardwalk. Submissions are accepted March 31 through May 19, 2017, at 12:00 p.m. Artwork will be displayed Memorial Day weekend through the second weekend in September. Artists of all ages create original works on weatherproof boards. Acrylic or oil painting are the most common media, but past shows have featured photography, collage and three-dimensional works. Group exhibitions at Woman Made Gallery are open to all artists unless otherwise noted. The application fee for WMG’s juried exhibitions is $30 for up to three images of work with addition of one detail view per work, if needed. A limited number of artists who experience financial hardship may be exempt from paying the entry fee; please send us an email to request a fee waiver to: [email protected] We appreciate artwork that is recent, but there is no restriction in the creation date. Applicants should submit an artist’s statement of max. 250 words, explaining how their work relates to the exhibition’s themes. Accepted artworks must not exceed 72″ horizontally and must not have been previously shown at WMG.

The Rogue Gallery & Art Center is proud to host the Third Rogue Valley Biennial, February 20 – April 10, 2015. We invite both emerging and established artists. Three $200 Jurors’ Choice Awards will be presented for work that best captures interpretations of our world today, commentary on contemporary issues, or is innovative and/or the unusual.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Each artist may submit up to three pieces. A $20 non-refundable submission fee is required for all artists. (Rogue Gallery members and non-members). Work must be original art in any medium. (No giclees). Only work in excellent condition (clean mats and frames) will be accepted. For the safety of the artwork, all work must be properly framed and wired for hanging. No saw tooth hangers. Prix Net Art - Call to Artists for Internet Art

Beginning this autumn, Rhizome and Beijing-based TASML and CAT/CCIA will award a substantial new prize for internet art. The “no strings attached” prize, which will be awarded three times in total in 2014, 2015, and 2016, will recognize the past work and future promise of one artist making outstanding work on the internet. The awardee will receive $10,000; a second distinction award of $5,000 will also be made each year.
