A Taste of Ashland 2015 Festival illustration image

Apologies for the short notice!! The AGA just got this to us yesterday morning, and catching up after dealing with a death in our immediate family caused us to add more to the delay. We sincerely apologize!! However, it does look like they are happy to consider already completed paintings to consider for their 2018 A Taste of Ashland Poster, so if you’re not one of those blazing fast painters, why not spend a quiet evening or tomorrow morning sorting through your portfolio, then submit your best work by the end of the day for a chance to get the local promotion of a lifetime. Here are the details:

“Into the Woods” photography by Julie Bonney

Julie Bonney is the featured artist at The Photographers’ Gallery At The Ashland Art Center. Her new show, “Into The Woods” opens during the First Friday Art Walk on November 3rd.

Julie is a local photographer who finds inspiration in the natural beauty of Southern Oregon and Northern California. John Muir said, “The clearest way into the Universe is through a forest wilderness.” The forest is a beacon for Julie. It invites her to enter and explore more. She feels as though there is a great mystery hiding somewhere within. Her photography explores that mystery and creates a deeper relationship between nature and herself.

Roll With Us! Allaboard Trolley

Ashland Gallery Association – March Spotlight Exhibits Ashland Art Center Upstairs Featured Artists: Susanne Petermann & Darlene Southworth Techno-color

With watercolor and collage, Susanne Petermann and Darlene Southworth create landscapes not visible to the unaided eye: parts hidden inside machines and computers, interiors of plants and animals, and outer space. Thus the images appear abstract though they are actually representational

Featured Photographer: Julie Bonney Delicate Beauty

Julie Bonney is a widely traveled local photographer who will be sharing a selection from her recent work, “Delicate Beauty” during March. Favorite photography subjects for many are flowers. They speak the language of the heart touching us in ways that open us to the natural world. However, the challenge is to showcase them in ways that are less common and create a desire in the viewer to stop and take them in. Photography workshops can be a source of inspiration when things feel
