Art du Jour Gallery, 213 E. Main Street in Medford is featuring Jeanne LaRea-Lagano in our salon for September through November. Our monthly exhibit on the featured wall we will be offering a mix of work in recognition of the glorious colors of fall. July’s First Friday at the studio features a joint show of mixed media figures and wall art by Elizabeth York and works by guest artist Melissa Markell. Melissa’s work includes a Postcard Series consisting of vintage postcards cut apart and reassembled into 5” x 4” tiny stories told in color and imagery. The Surface and Structures exhibit features abstract artist Cammy Davis and sculptor Nadine Gay. Cammy Davis paints bold large abstract acrylic paintings. Nadine Gay is a multi-media artist who creates whimsical and contemplative ceramic figurative sculptures. The exhibit is a juxtaposition of large, textured, color enriched canvases with sculpture that is figurative, spiritual, and at times delicate. Each artists’ work is beautifully complemented by the other.

Sue Springer creates quirky ceramic sculptures, which are mostly figurative, with a whimsy and freedom of unexpected combinations.
