Ashland Gallery Association May Spotlight Exhibits Art & Soul Gallery “Landmarks” – Oil paintings by Jenay Elder

Art sharpens our eyes to the world around us and tugs on our hearts. I have recently used a variety of techniques to create art. I often paint outdoors on the spot and I have started creating compositions in the studio based off plein air studies, photo references, sketches and notes. My motive is to depict different local landmarks and ideas that reflect my experience living in this inspiring area while attempting to convey something that is unseen. I am continually seeking out new experiences where I can form a philosophy to support my picture making while simultaneously honing my abilities and sensitivity.

Please join us on May 4, 2018 from 5-8 PM at Art & Soul Gallery for a festive opening with Art, music, snacks and lively conversation. Works

First Friday Shows and New Works by Silvia Rothschild Trujillo

Indian Memorial, oil painting by Silvia Rothschild Trujillo

During the holidays (and all year ’round), do you ever find yourself needing to slow down but you just can’t? I think this is one of the divine purposes of art… to bring us to our senses in the most literal way, and create a sense of awe out of something as simple as oil on canvas. Whether you are in Southern Oregon, Northern California or someplace beyond, I have some events and suggestions to help you experience that sense of wonder and connection through art. Read on…

Featured artist show at Art & Soul Gallery, Ashland, OR: “Gazing With Awe: Rogue Impressions and Beyond” We are surrounded by beauty that begs for acknowledgment. It can be blatant as a snow-frosted peak on a spring morning, or as simple as objects on the kitchen counter. These painting communicate mood and a sense of time by coloring the light and

“Following the Circuitous Thread” Show of Mixed Media Paintings by Eve Margo Withrow Art & Soul Gallery – August 2017

I’m always curious to explore the edge that lies outside the box. From that perspective, I reflect on the essential feeling ingredients of an experience or place. Many of my favorite and most exciting works are the result of finding imaginative solutions to things run amok. I play and adventure with my expressions. Following threads here and there, I enter the flow of my creative process; head and heart awake and dancing.

Eve is an international award winning professional Artist and part owner of Art and Soul Gallery in Ashland , Oregon.

Please join us for a festive evening of Fine Art, Music by Rick Millward, conversation and some refreshing nibbles!
