“Hot Palette” and August Events at Grants Pass Museum of Art

Hot Palette art exhibit of encausti cpaintings by Dianne Jean Erickson at GRants Pass Museum of Art, Grants Pass, Oregon

Hot Palette: Dianne Jean Erickson August 4th – September 15th, 2017

Dianne Jean Erickson is a painter, printmaker and encaustic artist producing works of art both personal and universal in their nature.

“Each day working in my studio I start not knowing what image will emerge. I allow myself the freedom of indecisions, improvisations, and impulsiveness in my work, and that leads to exciting discoveries. Subjects of my encaustic (hot wax) work are non-objective and figurative painting and printmaking.”

The exhibition highlights her encaustic paintings and encaustic monotypes. Her artwork is of a figurative and portraiture nature, with a whimsical series exploring head gear.

This exhibition is sponsored by Wealth Management Group of Oregon.

First Friday Live: August 4th and September 1st, from 5 – 9 pm

Admission is free.
