Tickets are on sale for next year’s Black, White and the Blues, the annual benefit event for the Grants Pass Museum of Art. The art auction and dance party is set for Feb. 21, from 6 p.m. to midnight at Wheeler Toyota on Redwood Highway in Grants Pass. Tickets are $60, or $420 for a table of eight. Purchase tickets by calling 541-479-3290 or by stopping by the Grants Pass Museum of Art, 229 S.W. G St., between noon and 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. This year marks the 29th anniversary of the fundraiser, which helps support the museum’s exhibits and educational programs. This annual outdoor art competition hosted by the Hillsboro Arts & Culture Council brings artists of all mediums, styles and levels to our community, and highlights the wonderful landscapes, city scenes and people of Hillsboro. June’s just around the corner! As you can see from the flyer below, whole bunches is taking place that day! All you need to do is show up at 9am, definitely no later than 10:30am (event starts at 11am), and choose your spot to set up. There’s no fee of any sort, HOWEVER, if you sell some of your work, we request a 10% donation of your proceeds. That’s it! Due to the number of events taking place this year, artists are asked to set up on the front lawn of the Hanley Farm House, and surrounding areas. As in past events, you’ll have several great sites, including the lawn in front of Hanley House, the area to the left of the pavilion, the lovely spring house area, Jackson Creek area, etc., to set up in. You are invited to participate in Artist Day at Hanley Farm, June 14. This year we expect a significant visitor increase, as we’re partnering with the farm’s Summer Lawn Party. This means more exposure and potentially more sales for you! Participation is the same as last year – arrive early to set up. There is NO FEE. We do however, ask that you donate 10% of the proceeds from your sales to the farm. The Summer Lawn Party is a new event, and we’re excited to invite you to join in!
