As part of our celebration of the fair’s 25th anniversary Sept. 29, 2018, Central Art and the fair are hosting a community art contest. Consider submitting artwork with the theme “diversity” for the chance to display your artwork at the fair and win prizes! Contest rules Artwork will be judged on creativity, style and how well the artwork reflects the contest theme. Artist may use any medium/format desired (black and white, color, pencil sketch, painting, ink, photograph, etc.). Artwork must be an original creation, no prints. Artwork must be created within the past year. Artwork must be family friendly for viewing by people of all ages, gender, culture and race. Our intent is to emphasize equity, diversity and inclusion. About the author:  Art du Jour Gallery Medford, OR April 2018 People’s Choice- Mixed Media Art du Jour is now accepting entries for the “People’s Choice” mixed media contest. March 31 is the deadline. Visitors to the gallery vote for their favorite art work. The winning art work will win $50 and a prize ribbon. Call the gallery to register or come by to pick up an entry form. There is a $20.00 entry fee. Please call for further information. The contest artists will be honored at our Medford Third Friday Art Walk and Reception on April 20, 5 to 8 pm. Due to a light turnout, the Oil and Acrylic contest schedule for March had to be canceled. Central Art’s 50 Shades of Fall Art Contest Official Results The results are in!! We’ve gathered all tallies for our “50 Shades of Fall” contest, and believe us when we say that competition was close, often with a single vote making the difference. All voting came from People’s Choice and Employee’s Picks, with the general public invited to cast their favorites during the entire month of October. The Rogue Gallery & Art Center is proud to host the Third Rogue Valley Biennial, February 20 – April 10, 2015. We invite both emerging and established artists. Three $200 Jurors’ Choice Awards will be presented for work that best captures interpretations of our world today, commentary on contemporary issues, or is innovative and/or the unusual. SUBMISSION GUIDELINES Each artist may submit up to three pieces. A $20 non-refundable submission fee is required for all artists. (Rogue Gallery members and non-members). Work must be original art in any medium. (No giclees). Only work in excellent condition (clean mats and frames) will be accepted. For the safety of the artwork, all work must be properly framed and wired for hanging. No saw tooth hangers.
