The Haines & Friends Visual Arts Grant Program Application is Available in Two Weeks!

The Haines & Friends Visual Arts Grant Program is thrilled to announce that it will offer grant support this year. Ranging from $1,000 to $5,000, visual artists and arts educators in Southern Oregon are all encouraged to apply.

“I have felt tremendously honored and fortunate to receive grant support in the conception and creation of a series of portraits, which will be an ongoing project in collaboration with creative individuals in my community who are courageous and generous enough to share their stories,” explains Jay Gordon, 2022 Recipient of The Haines & Friends Visual Arts Grant Program.

With two weeks left until the application becomes available, visual artists and arts educators should begin considering projects requiring financial assistance. Applications will open on Friday, June 30, and close on Wednesday, August 30. Grant Awards will be

Call to Artists - Discovering Southern Oregon Open Show at Art du Jour

Art du Jour Gallery in Medford calls to artists for entries to their “Discovering Southern Oregon” People’s Choice Art Exhibit coming up in March 2017. The exhibit is open to all artists. Artists may enter one art work. The entry fee is $10.

The art work in this exhibit will be numbered and visitors to the gallery vote for their favorite. A “People’s Choice” ribbon and $50 will be awarded to the winner on Friday March 31 at 10 a.m. The winning artist need not be present to win. When an art work is sold, the artist will receive the sale price less 25% commission. Sold art work may be replaced with the same size work with no additional fee.

A Juried Art & Fine Craft Fair in the Beautiful Illinois Valley of Southern Oregon

Call For Entries…

You are cordially invited to submit your application for the second Southern Oregon Guild Artoberfest, a juried art fair to be held in the Illinois Valley, October 18, 19 and 20 in conjunction with the 6th Annual Valley Girls Quilt Show.

Hours: Friday and Saturday 10:00 am-5:00 pm, Sunday 10:00 am–4:00 pm.

The two events create a fall Celebration of the Arts in southern Oregon’s Illinois Valley, drawing a greater number of visitors each year.

Artoberfest is located along Highway 199 in the small historic town of Kerby where many art merchants attract both tourists and regional visitors.

Artist’s booths are located at show headquarters on Rogue Community College’s Kerby Campus, which is also home to the Southern Oregon Guild Gallery & Art Center.
