Don’t Fence Me In: Annual Members’ Exhibition

In the 2018 Rogue Gallery Annual Members’ Exhibition, over sixty artists interpret the theme of “Don’t fence Me In”. The Annual Members’ Exhibition features work by Rogue Gallery and Art Center members, and is always one of the most popular of the year. The Rogue Gallery has had a long history of supporting local and regional artists. This exhibit gives Rogue Gallery members an opportunity to exhibit one piece of their work on the central theme of “Don’t Fence Me In”. Over 80 artists are participating in this non-juried exhibit. Artists submitted artwork that reflects their personal interpretation of the theme. The exhibit includes watercolors, acrylic, and oil paintings as well as sculptures, photography, and pastels.

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at the Rogue Gallery

2018 Celtic Celebration at Rogue Gallery: Margaret Stermer-Cox, Watercolor, Irish Breakfast Tea

On St. Patrick’s Day, the Rogue Gallery will host a special evening event featuring Celtic art, music, and Irish food.

Musicians and choral groups will perform traditional Irish music. The evening also includes a singing competition of the best rendition of the song “Danny Boy”. A special Celtic themed art show by Rogue Gallery artists’ members will be on display from March 14 through March 22, 2018.

The Celtic culture has a long and rich tradition in music and art. The Rogue Gallery & Art Center celebrates the art of the Celts with music and art. Music performers include Pat O’Scannell and the choral group Blarney Tones. On display will be an Irish themed art show that includes acrylic, oil, and watercolor paintings as well as photography and collages. Hello there artist friends,

Now that summer is coming to an end, here’s a chance to sharpen your painting skills and enjoy the remaining warmth before Fall and Winter set in. Hosted by the Rogue Gallery, a workshop in plein air painting is being offered for beginners to advanced artists who would like to learn more about atmospheric perspective, how light effects color, and how to compare values for accuracy. We will be painting Table Rock and Rogue River at a location near Tou Velle Park in Medford on Sat, Sept 23 from 10am -4pm. I promise a fun and informative time for all… join us if you can 😉

Also coming up is a plein air workshop hosted by The Lassen Art Center in Shingletown, CA. This location is at the base of Lassen National Park which is a great place to visit

She has been painting in watercolor since the 1980s and “loves exploring the endless possibilities this medium allows.”

This is a call for art by ALL artists for four 2014 exhibitions at Woman Made Gallery. Please note that the entry deadline for ‘Mutations of Otherness’ is February 16, 2014. WMG membership is not required in order to enter into juried shows or exhibit at WMG. You do not have to log in to submit your entry Online – and creating your online entry in one session is the best way to submit.

 

Artists may submit up to three works by mail with jpgs and application on a CD or online as digital files. Video artists may mail their entries or post video stills online and include a link to the video(s) in the statement section.
