Visit our Website Deadline May 26 Nominations open for 2020 Governor’s Arts Awards Governor Kate Brown recently opened nominations for the 2020 Governor’s Arts Awards. The Arts Awards recognize and honor individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to the arts in Oregon. They are held periodically as funding allows. The Governor’s Arts Awards are open to any individual, organization or community that currently resides in or has a significant presence in Oregon and has made outstanding contributions to the arts in the state. A special category for 2020 recognizes virtual arts engagement during the COVID-19 health crisis. Awardees will be honored on Saturday, Sept. 12, at the Chehalem Cultural Center in Newberg.
