Southern Oregon Artists Resource Welcomes Hilltop Gallery!

Hilltop Gallery, Ashland, OregonMany thanks to Richard and Rochelle Newman, who have just listed their Hilltop Gallery in the Ashland Galleries section of the Art Directories at the Southern Oregon Artists Resource! We’re so excited to have another gallery on board to help complete our online portrait of the Southern Oregon art & culture scene and look forward to helping them promote the artists they represent in the coming year.

Richard and Rochelle opened Hilltop Gallery on the grounds of the Mountain Meadows Resort Community in Ashland in 2009. As co-directors, they have produced a stream of fascinating shows since then, many in cooperation with other art icons of the area, such as February’s show of Japanese prints & artifacts, with exhibit items on loan from the Schneider Museum of Art, also in Ashland, and featuring a gallery talk by the Schneider’s director, Michael Crane.

Though they listed the gallery after the opening reception had passed, their current exhibit, “Spring Awakening,” features works by the members of the Southern Oregon Society of Artists and would be well worth the visit to introduce yourself if you haven’t been to Hilltop before. The show continues until April 18th.

We hope you’ll keep an eye on their upcoming exhibits as they are announced… better yet, attend some!  You’ll be able to find Hilltop’s latest news in their new column, located under the “Gallery Exhibits and News” tab in the menu above.
