We are delighted to announce the new listing of the Jacksonville Museum Quilters, who have officially opened the Quilting category, now available in the Wearable Art section of the Lifestyle Arts directory. Keeping this ancient functional art alive with skill and talent, these women create beautiful quilts using advanced hand-applique techniques. Their guild is part of a larger regional group, Mountain Stars Quilters Guild. The Jacksonville Museum Quilters’ Annual Quilt Show is the second week of each July, featuring vendors, boutique demonstrations, quilts for sale from our collection, an opportunity quilt and bed turning. Our featured quilter is Joedy Kimmel. Held at the US Hotel for 32 years, for their 33rd Annual Quilt Show in 2011 they are changing venues to the Jacksonville Elementary School at 655 Hueners Lane. Longtime attendees to this popular event, please make a note of this change of location! Plan to join them Fri-Sat, July 8 & 9 10am-4pm and Sun July 10 10am-3pm. Admission is $4.
